Omo Dafidi

Omo-dafidi

He went in as a shepherd boy,

And came back a hero.

He was sent to deliver a salutation,

He took over the entire show.

He owned it.

He transited from a ruddy follower of sheep to a giant killer.

He converted his despise into a defining moment.

He confronted the giant with his own bucolic weapon, not the sophisticated weapon of others.

He understands that every battle needs a different strategy and different weapon.

He focused on his own strategy, not others’.

He used the unusual to achieve the unusual.

He ran to the giant with The Word in his mouth, mentally defeating him even before the first shot was fired.

‘And I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil’.

He chanted as he confronted Captain Goliath, a feared infantry soldier.

With a sling and sharp-edged stone.

He brought down the threat of a nation.

His destiny changed forever.

His journey to kingship accelerated.

His future became more crystalized.

He was shot to global fame.

His life became meaningful.

The shepherd boy.

Songwriter.

Army, warrior, king, worshipper.

A man of valour.

A man of courage.

A man after God’s heart

King David.
